It takes one bee working 8-10 hours per day for a month to produce a teaspoon dose of bee pollen. It comes from the pollen that collects on the hind legs of bees and is said to consist of almost all of the nutrients needed by humans which makes it one of nature’s most completely nourishing foods. It is very high in protein and also contains vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, lipids and antioxidants.
So, what are the health benefits?
The list of possible health benefits to the consumption of bee pollen is rather long; however, it comes with a warning label and a very real risk of anaphylaxis if you have an allergy to pollen. Its use is also unsafe for pregnant women, should not be used by women who are breastfeeding, and can also cause increased bleeding if used with certain blood      thinners.
It's important to keep in mind that bee pollen should not be confused with natural honey, honey comb and royal jelly.

Bee pollen is a complete protein and contains all 22 elements of the  human system including:

All essential amino acids (bee pollen contains the eight essential amino acids, which the human body cannot produce.)
Vitamins A, B Complex series C, D, E, K and Rutin.
28 Minerals, including Trace Minerals needed for good health.
Enzymes and Co-Enzymes necessary for good digestion.
Hormones such as the ones found in our bodies to affect normal     function.
Pollen is a natural source of high protein, low in fat, cholesterol free, containing essential fatty acids and a complete range of vitamins and minerals. It is nature’s growth and maintenance supplement.

Bee pollen is the only known food in the world with all essential  ingredients necessary to sustain life.

Bee pollen is used in a wide range of applications including:

  • Treating allergies, anemia, asthma, immune system disorders, impotence, infertility, kidney disorders, menopause, prostate disease and ulcers.
  • Improving athletic endurance
  • Aiding recovery from illnesses such as chronic fatigue,
  • Boosting the immune system.

Taken every day, bee pollen has been shown to improve general feelings of well being and make you feel more vibrant and energised.

Firstly if you haven’t taken Bee Pollen before you should start off with a 1/4 (2.5gm) of the daily recommendation ( 10 gm is the recommendation daily dose) you should be on the 1/4 strength dose for 2 weeks before increasing the dose to half (5gm) for 2 weeks, then to 7.5gm for 2 weeks and finally to 10gm the full daily dose. Some people may be allergic to Bee Pollen and this is the reason to start off with small amounts and work up to the full amount.

Food Warning: It is important to note that in rare cases,   an allergic reaction to pollen may be experienced.
